Originally from Wyoming, Zoe grew up surrounded by wide skies, open land, and a culture deeply rooted in tradition. While the West has always had her heart, she never felt confined by its aesthetic. Instead of leaning into the expected, she gravitated toward the edges — toward contrast, structure, and artwork that stepped outside the box.
Zoe is an illustrative tattoo artist drawn to movement, bold composition, and the architecture of a design.
With a background in graphic design and logo creation beginning at eleven years old, she learned early how to build strong shapes and let composition do the talking. Tattooing became the natural evolution of that mindset — an art form that doesn’t live inside a frame, but moves with the body.
She gravitates toward animals not for symbolism alone, but for the challenge. Fur, feathers, texture, motion — translating those intricacies from paper to skin is where her technical obsession lives. Alongside narrative-driven animal work, Zoe draws heavily from Neo-Traditional, American Traditional, ornamental design, and Gothic architectural influence — balancing bold readability with fluid detail.
Her apprenticeship began in September 2023 and shaped her in more ways than one. She learned foundational technique, body-conscious stencil placement, and how to build structure into every piece. But more importantly, she learned how to grow independently — pushing herself toward more original and complex work rather than settling into repetition.
She continued refining her craft at Medicine Man Tattoo, where professionalism, adaptability, and advanced techniques like stipple and pepper shading became part of her everyday practice. The experience strengthened both her technical ability and her confidence navigating the client side of the industry.
Zoe prefers custom work and draws each piece specifically for the person wearing it. No copy-paste tattoos. No recycled designs. Just intentional artwork designed to fit and flow.
Clients describe her as thorough and transparent. She explains what she’s doing and why she’s doing it, creating a calm environment — especially for first-time or anxious clients. She understands that a tattoo might be routine in her day, but it can be transformative for someone else.
Currently focused on strengthening contrast and building larger, more dynamic compositions, Zoe is working toward bold illustrative realism and semi-realism projects. She’s especially interested in bigger pieces with creative trust and open skin to build on.
